We’ve all heard the feminists and SJWs scream at the top of their lungs about a fictitious wage gap. They would say things like, “a woman earns 78 cents for every dollar a man earns.” They have also described the wage gap in terms of race, claiming that black women are at the bottom of the compensation totem pole. Most sane people know the wage gap is a work of fiction. In an era where victimhood has been exalted and is seen as a great achievement, people always need things to complain about so that others may feel sorry for them.
But in a shocking turn of events, the wage gap exists, but it is men who are being paid less. Technological giant, Google, recently found that it paid women more than men for the same role. According to its own internal audit, Level 4 Software Engineers received less money than women in that same role. Google had to pay $9.7 million to adjust the pay of 10,677 employees. This is what Google’s Lead Analyst for Pay Equity and People Analytics, Lauren Barbato, had to say about it:
“Our pay equity analysis ensures that compensation is fair for employees in the same job, at the same level, location and performance. But we know that’s only part of the story. Because leveling, performance ratings, and promotion impact pay, this year, we are undertaking a comprehensive review of these processes to make sure the outcomes are fair and equitable for all employees.”
I wonder what the SJWs have to say about this plot twist. It should be noted that Google Inc is a very liberal company, just like most tech giants in Silicon Valley.
