Florida’s Conservative Governor Flourishes

Away from all of the insanity from the Left, we bring some good news. Governor of Florida and Trump ally, Ron DeSantis, is currently doing very well in his state. Last year, he won the governorship race by a slight 33,000 votes against Democratic candidate, Andrew Gillum. At the time, it seemed DeSantis was not very well liked in the state, but new polls show a dramatic increase in his approval rating.

According to a Quinnipiac poll conducted between March 6-11, DeSantis has a huge approval rating by a margin of 59-17%. According to ABC Action news, DeSantis has the highest approval rating of any Florida governor in the last decade. Even Democrats love and approve of him by a margin of 42-28%.

“DeSantis and the state’s politicians are benefiting from an overall sunny mood among Floridians who are happy about the economy and life in general,” said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

As someone who is against illegal migration, DeSantis has made a proposal that would require local law enforcement to work with ICE to get rid of illegals in sanctuary cities. Almost every demographic supports DeSantis’ proposal, except the Democrats of course.

Since he became governor, DeSantis has demonstrated some true conservative principles. For example, he staunchly opposes the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel. After Airbnb decided to stop renting listings in Judea and Samaria, DeSantis stopped patronizing them for state businesses.

Furthermore, DeSantis has praised the constitution like a true conservative. Concerning judicial activism, he said, “The Constitution, not the judiciary, is supreme.”

While most of the other socialist governors like Andrew Cuomo of New York are failing woefully, Florida is progessing under the auspices of a conservative government.
