She is known to be a strong proponent of Socialism, but her recent comments have shocked even her crazy supporters. During the recently concluded SXSW festival, AOC was asked to comment on the risks that automation and artificial intelligence pose to low-skilled jobs. Her response was:
“We should not be haunted by the specter of being automated out of work. We should be excited by that. But the reason we’re not excited by it is because we live in a society where if you don’t have a job, you are left to die. And that is, at its core, our problem.”
So, AOC believes that the problem of America is the fact that people without jobs “are left to die.” In other words, AOC wants jobless people to be able to survive and thrive in the country. And how would that be achieved? By having more people on food stamps. An estimated 12.4 percent of Americans rely on food stamps, and AOC wants that number to increase considerably. AOC doesn’t want people to support themselves by finding good employment. Instead, she wants people to abstain from work and “spend more time enjoying the world that we live in.”
The rather obvious question for AOC would be: if nobody works, then how do we sustain her socialist principles? Sometimes, it feels like the democrats don’t understand how national wealth is created. They seem to be against every instrument that significantly contributes to the society. They hate big corporations, they want high taxes, they don’t want people to work. They basically despise capitalism. Yet, they promise food stamps, free college and medicare for all. And their ignorant supporters don’t ask them how they would achieve these “free” programs. The democrats also want open borders, therefore, U.S. citizens would be competing with people from other nations for freebies.
When a “popular” congresswoman says something as ignorant as AOC’s statement, then we know we are heading for doom. I am not advocating for jobless people to die, but they should do the obvious thing and try to get jobs. The burden of feeding the citizens cannot rest on the shoulders of the government.
